Job Details Job Location: LAS VEGAS, NV 89130 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Any Mission: Create environments where 1st - 3rd grade students can learn the foundations of who God is, partner with parents in their role as primary disciple makers, and equip volunteers to love, teach, and serve preschoolers well. Outcomes: 1. Oversee the 1st grade – 3rd grade ministry at Canyon Ridge Christian Church. 2. Recruit, train, onboard, and empower volunteers to help execute the program for 1st-3rd graders. 3. In partnership with the Kids Director, be available to help parents continue to step into their roles as primary disciple makers. 4. Partner with the Kids Director to create/edit exciting, age-appropriate, Bible focused curriculum that creates space for kids to appropriately discover more about God as well as teaches core biblical principles and truths. 5. Prep all equipment, curriculum, and resources for weekend services in Early Elementary environments. 6. Host at least 2 events a year that engage 1st – 3rd graders. 7. In partnership with the Kids Director, create quarterly trainings for all Early Elementary volunteers that are age-appropriate, equip and empower volunteers. 8. In partnership with the Kids Director, teach/host a monthly baptism class for kids and their parents. 9. Create visually exciting, safe environments that are not only appealing to children, but to parents as well. 10. Participate with the full Kids Team to execute all Kids events. (Camp, etc.). 11. Energetic and understands the current trends in Children’s Ministry. Qualifications Competency Profile:“Must Have” skills, experience, leadership capacity A pastoral heart with a growing and contagious relationship with Jesus. At least 2 years’ experience working with kids. At least 2 years’ experience leading others. Understands the developmental needs of elementary kids. A team-minded person with a learner attitude, always willing to try new things. Experience training others and/or in volunteer management. Able to receive and provide feedback in helpful and loving ways. Ability to look at Children’s environments from the perspective of the newcomer, regular attender, as well as a kid's perspective. Proactive. Sees what needs to be done and takes initiative. “Must Have” character traits, relational skills, spiritual leadership Coachable and approachable. History of making disciples (not just team members) Can immediately champion the CRCC culture and values. History of Servant Leader Model of leadership Collaborative leader.
