The Position ROLE SUMMARY The Early in Career (EiC) Partner provides EiC subject matter expertise at a regional and country level to support the execution of the global EiC strategy in service of our Roche ambitions. In partnership with the wider EiC community, the business and our P&C partners (e.g. IWS Partner, Talent Acquisition Partner), the EiC Partner drives strategic data-driven approaches to build, operationalise and develop sustainable, diverse early talent pipelines. They anticipate the future (skills) needs of Roche and leverage EiC solutions as a core “Build” strategy as part of a robust workforce strategy. As the EiC Partner with focus on the StartUp China, you will primarily act as a partner to key stakeholders (up to the China Leadership Team) and lead Roche’s flagship talent development programme in China, including the successful implementation and evolution of the programme design and life-cycle management in partnership with experts across the P&C ecosystem and the Pharma and Dia business as well as talent planning. What should you do Ensure strategic alignment of global, regional, and country specific EiC strategies to People & Culture and business ambitions, as an expert in EiC talent strategies and related key trends As Point of Contact for P&C and business leads on EiC topics, act as a strategic thought partner to the business about EiC as a strategic workforce instrument and consult on the entire Early in Career landscape at Roche with a particular focus on StartUp China. Based on effective diagnosis, the EiC Partner translates organizational needs into fit-for-purpose and impact-focused EiC talent solutions by leveraging data and leveraging and evolving the existing EiC portfolio (creating new solutions only to meet unique demands) Proactively manage P&C stakeholders (e.g. P&C Partners & EiC Community) as well as local and functional stakeholder relationships within the area of responsibility and constructively challenge and influence stakeholders and customers; consult on wider EiC related activities which support key talent attraction and development activities This role has a particular focus on the StartUp China Programme Attract and hire the best talents, including those from key academic institutions, in partnership with experts from Recruitment and Strategic Pipelining Act as programme lead and are responsible for driving the stakeholder engagement, programme evolution and ensuring smooth programme operations Partner with the business and programme participants on the effective design of development journeys and practice VACC leadership (e.g. performance management and development discussions, rotation design and management) Identify pathways from the programme into full-time roles within Roche in partnership with the business Who you are Passionate about talent development strategies and tactics; possess domain expertise in the field. Strong expertise in the Chinese market Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas and information.
