JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with babies, toddlers and their families to succeed in overall growth and development. This role requires a strong commitment to providing support and guidance while implementing effective intervention strategies tailored to each individual’s needs.

EARLY INTERVENTION EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

ABC’s of Learning has positions open for Early Interventionists. Our employees will be conducting services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare, etc.) on a weekly basis. Employees will coordinate services within a team approach and provide developmental training in Cognitive, Language, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Social-Emotional and Self-Help domains to assist the families they work with. Early interventionists will also be conducting assessments to determine a child’s eligibility/needs, developing and reviewing Individualized Family Service Plans/Family Service Plans (IFSP/FSP) and working collaboratively with families, pediatricians, therapists, teachers, etc., to coordinate all necessary services in order to meet associated deadlines.

EARLY INTERVENTIONIST REQUIREMENTS:

· A Bachelor’s degree in:
Child/Human Development; Education: Early Childhood; Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education; Family and Consumer Sciences; Psychology; Public Health; Social Work; Sociology; Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts to include the following: Physician, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Independent Social Worker, Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Licensed Doctor of Osteopath, Licensed Professional Counselor (Master’s and Doctoral Level only), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Physician’s Assistant, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Speech Language Pathologist, Licensed Audiologist, Licensed Physical Therapist, Licensed Occupational Therapist.
· Personal Traits:
- A Passion for working with children that have developmental delays and/or disabilities
- Ability to manage detail-oriented paperwork
- Abilities to be teachable
- Efficiently manage time
- Work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Candidate MUST be able to travel by personal car to specified visit areas. Employees will be paid $200/month for vehicle use.

Responsibilities
