SUMMARY

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will learn new skills and develop an understanding of how to support children in the early years. As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn on the job how to provide a nurturing and educational environment for young children, and how to monitor and support their development. Reporting to the Nursery Manager, your role involves implementing early childhood education practices while ensuring effective communication with children, parents, and staff.
Experience in working in childcare is not essential, however we are looking for people who are committed to working with children and being a part of shaping their development, so a passion is a must!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • GCSEs in Maths, English and ICT in order to enroll onto an apprenticeship
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is an asset
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

Responsibilities
  • Take on an early years apprenticeship, and take ownership of both on the job training and off the job studies and work
    -Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
  • Monitor and record children’s progress, behaviour, and development
  • Collaborate with parents and communicate effectively about their child’s day
  • Ensure the nursery is clean, organized, and well-maintained
