As a Nursery Apprentice at Kiddie Capers Childcare, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Nursery. You will work closely with our dedicated team to ensure the wellbeing and development of the children in our care. This role provides hands-on experience and opportunities for growth within the Early Years sector.
We currently have vacancies in our Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint settings. We would also consider applicants for other Mid Sussex settings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 17 years or older (this is due to staff-to-child ratio regulations in our nurseries)
  • Achieved a GCSE Grade C/4 in English and Maths
  • A genuine interest in working with children
  • Good communication skills and a positive, caring attitude
  • Must complete necessary background checks (DBS/Right to Work)
Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Organise activities, both inside and outside the nursery, which encourage creativity development, co-ordination, independence, self-expression and learning through play.
  • Engage with children in play-based learning activities to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Assist with daily routines such as mealtimes, nap times and outdoor play.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to provide the best possible care and support for each child.
