QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Desirable Criteria:

• Minimum Level 2 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development or Playwork
• Previous experience working in a childcare setting.
• Paediatric First Aid
• Child Protection Training

If you do not currently hold a minimium Level 2 in Child Care, Learning and Development or Playwork, you must be willing to be enrolled within the course. For eligble candidates it completion of the qulaification can be undertaken through a fully funded apprenticeship.
Due to minimium standard legislation, all candidates must be a minimium of 18 years old.

Pay: From £12.35 per hour

DUTIES:

• Care for children aged from birth to 11 years old.
• Establish good relationships with children and interact with them according to their individual needs.
• Establish good relationships with parents and carers.
• Work closely with the room supervisors, organising activities and resources to encourage learning through play.
• Undertake observations to promote and monitor children’s development.
• To be aware of, and comply with, the settings policies and procedures, as well as have a comprehensive understanding of the minimum standards that provides the framework for the care we provide.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the Supervisors/Management.
