COMPLIANCE & QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Deliver programmes in line with Ofsted requirements, including safeguarding, Prevent Duty, equality and diversity.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, progress reviews, and assessment documentation in line with regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years / Childcare.
  • Experience of teaching, training, or assessing adult learners.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Understanding of safeguarding, Prevent Duty, equality and diversity, and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate learners.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of delivering apprenticeships or work-based learning.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and blended learning approaches.
  • Occupational experience in an Early Years setting.
Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Early Years Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment for learners undertaking Early Years qualifications (Level 2 and Level 3). The tutor will ensure teaching is Ofsted-compliant, meets awarding body requirements, and prepares learners to work effectively in Early Years and childcare settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching, Learning & Assessment

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that meet Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework (EIF) standards and awarding body criteria.
  • Embed English, maths, safeguarding, and Values into all teaching sessions.
  • Provide clear learning outcomes, differentiation, and progression opportunities for adult learners.
  • Assess learners’ knowledge and skills through a variety of methods, ensuring validity, reliability, and fairness of assessments.
  • Support learners to build the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for employment in Early Years settings.
