v To work closely with all members of staff to ensure we are providing high quality childcare to all the families that attend the setting.
v To conduct peer observations on staff when requested by management to ensure that the level of teaching and learning remains consistently at the highest level.
v In the absence of the room supervisor to ensure that the room continues to run smoothly and that all staff are working together as one team.
v To work closely with the team of early years practitioners providing a stimulating, friendly, caring, relaxed and rich environment.
v To ensure that all staff are always following the company’s policies and procedures.
v To work tirelessly to ensure that all staff have strong bonds with all the families that attend the setting., always ensuring that they are fully involved in their child’s learning and development and ways they can support this at home.
v To have interactions with children that are of a high quality and contribute well to delivering the curriculum intent.
v To ensure that each child is making rapid individual progress in line with the current framework, this includes understanding every child’s preferred learning style and ensuring they are not just school ready but life ready.
v To be highly successful at giving children a rich set of experiences that promote an understanding of people, families and communities beyond their own.
v To ensure that all paperwork is completed to the highest standard and on time and then filled away correctly.
v Ensuring that all children are treated equally with regards to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; in particular, challenging situations where racism or discrimination is displayed.
v To keep up to date with the current issues and attend any training required in line with your continuous professional development (CPD)
v A vast range of challenging and stimulating activities must always be accessible to all children.
v To adhere to our strong and caring ethos that puts the child at the centre of everything we do.
v To ensure all children are safeguarded through the implementation of robust procedures and that any causes of concern are reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
v To implement effective strategies/action plans with external agencies/professionals to ensure all children reach their fullest potential.
v To ensure that every child’s learning journey is completed to the highest standards and in a timely manner. This also includes using any online digital systems.
v To contribute and participate in team meetings/team activities at times these may be outside of work hours.
v To complete daily risk assessments to ensure the safety and welfare of everything while they are in the setting.
v To ensure that all children’s meals/bottles are prepared safely in the line with our policies and procedures and that they can cause no harm to any child.
v To work closely with all staff members to ensure that you manage the children’s behaviour effectively and in line with the company’s policy and procedure.
v To undertake any other duties required.
