TERM TIME POSITION

We are looking for Early years Educators who want to belong to a team that feels more like a family. Early years Educators who want to ‘get it right’ for each unique child. Responsibilities
  • To plan appropriately to meet the needs of individual children.
  • To work as a member of a team in planning all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • To help set up the environment for the day and tidy away at the end if appropriate.
  • To advise the nursery manager/deputy of any matters concerning children, parents or the safety of the equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
  • To keep tapestry updated with next steps, learning stories and relevant observations.
  • Be an engaged team member, supporting other members of staff as required.
  • To encourage parental involvement & support through the development of effective partnerships.
  • To maintain equipment & resources ensuring cleanliness and safety.To support children in their learning and development offering encouragement and stimulation.
  • To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the nursery manager.
  • To share ideas & be imaginative in meeting a child’s needs.
  • To encourage children to make choices in their play.
  • Undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment and children’s areas.
  • To ensure good standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times and be responsible for the Health and safety standards appropriate for the needs of young children.
  • Record accidents in the accident book and ensure the book is signed by the parent.
  • To attend staff meetings regularly and proactively support developments and actions.
  • To attend in-service training. External training courses and meetings as required.
  • To keep completely confidential any information regarding children, their families or other staff, which is acquired as part of the job.
  • To work within the guidance of the policies and procedures of the setting.
  • To be aware and fully understand the Child Protection Policy and to take any concerns to the settings Child protection officer.
