ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You’ll need a minimum QQI level 5 childcare qualification or a recognised qualification listed on the approved list of qualifications from DCEDIY.
  • Fluent English speaker with good communication skills
  • Full Flexibility to work and team spirit
  • A positive approach and genuine love for children
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Experience working in a Creche or Childcare environment
  • First Aid, Manual Handling or Food Safety training
    All successful candidates will need to go through a Garda Vetting check and provide a Valid Police Certificate (applicable to employees who have lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months since over the age of 18).

Responsibilities
  • Create a safe, caring and engaging environment for all children
  • Support the holistic needs of the children and co- construct the learning by observing children’s actions and interactions, documenting their interests and develop activities that build upon these observations.
  • Care, educate and supervise the children while considering the child’s wellbeing and development physically, socially and emotionally; as well as their language and cognitive learning and development needs
  • Supervision and involvement in meals and mealtimes as opportunities for social learning and development
  • Observe and record children’s progress and build trusting relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and tidy environment according to company H&S rules and relevant regulations.
