Minimum QQI level 5 Early Years Education - must be on DCEDIY approved list or you must hold the DCEDIY letter to say your qualifications have been approved

The ideal candidate:

• Will be a team player but also able to use their own initiative,
• Understand each child learns at their own pace
• Will create positive interactions with he children
• Can bring energy and enthusiasm to the role.
• Communicate well with their team
• Work in partnership with parents
• Ensuring the children have good hygiene
• Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day
• Organising activities and developing curriculum for older children
• Developing a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day
• Keeping records of each child’s progress, interests and any problems that may occur

They should be able to demonstrate good knowledge of Child development, Pre school regulations and Aistear and Siolta.
Working with children aged 1-5 years old
FAR and manual handling are an advantage
Subject to Garda Vetting, Police vetting and reference checks - 2 written references required
Applicants who have lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months MUST hold Police vetting from any other country that they have lived in
Must be currently living in Ireland or the E.U. and able to move to Ireland from the E.U. asap and have all qualification checks completed by the DCEDIY and have work permits and current police vetting from other countries if applicable.
Applicants from outside E.U. unfortuanately may not be considered due to the length of time it takes for police vetting, qualification checks by DCEDIY, work permit and visa approval as this position needs to be filled within the next couple of weeks.
Applicants who’s qualifications are not on the approved DCEDIY list or who have not already got their qualifications approved by the DCEDIY and have a letter stating they are approved will not be accepted.

Pay: €13.65-€16.70 per hour depending on qualification level
