Early Years Educator with SEN experience and/or bank staff (Level 2 or 3) Devizes Opportunity Centre are seeking to appoint an experienced Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator with SEN experience to join our small team based in Devizes working with children aged 0 – 4 years. The role will involve lots of sensory play and fun activities aimed at further developing children’s learning and development. The candidate will work with children who have a wide range of needs which will bring the opportunity to learn a variety of skills and knowledge to further their career.  The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and be confident in planning or adapting activities for each individual child.  As a keyworker you will be responsible for the planning, implementing of activities linked to children’s  individual targets and completing relevant paperwork linked to the EYFS (Birth to Five framework). Knowledge and experience of a variety of strategies such as Makaton, Communication boards (Core Grid) Attention autism activity, TEACCH, intensive interactions and delivering SALT targets would be beneficial.  Working closely with parents is a key part of the role and the successful candidate will be confident in empowering parents to be closely involved in their child’s learning.  The role involves liaising and working alongside our health partners such as speech and language therapist, physiotherapists, hearing & vision team, community nurses etc and full training will be available.  We have a variety of staffing opportunities available which can be tailored to the individual applicant All applicants must have a UK recognised Level 2 or 3 Early years qualification.
