The Early Years Group Facilitator promotes the healthy development of children from birth to age 6 by delivering educational workshops, training, information sessions, drop-in groups, special events and referrals to other community services.

What you’d be doing:

  • Actively involve families in the planning, managing, developing, delivering, and evaluation of programs.
  • Lead learning activities for children to make friends and interact with others of similar ages.
  • Support caregivers to expand their social support networks, share experiences, and learn more about community resources.
  • Strengthen community capacity
  • Support vulnerable children and their families
  • Promote health and social development of children
  • Build a social support network for families

What you bring:

  • Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, or Early Years Group facilitation.
  • Minimum of three years group facilitation experience with current knowledge of parenting issues, child development and Positive Parenting techniques, pre and post natal issues, and the ability to respond to these issues.
  • Strong written and verbal reporting skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and work effectively with others in both group and one to one setting, with strong facilitation skills.
  • Criminal Record Check clearance
  • Class 5 driver’s license (no N or L restriction) with reliable vehicle
  • Current certification in First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
