Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As an Early Years Information, Data and Funding Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Early Years Team in the administration and management of early years funding. Your responsibilities will include:

  • To be the first point of contact for the Public, Early Years Providers and other organisations for information, advice and guidance on Registered Childcare, Early Education for children aged 9 months - 5 years
  • Processing and verifying funding claims submitted by early years providers
  • Maintaining and updating the records of providers and children, in relation to free entitlement funding
  • Collecting, analysing, and reporting on data related to early years funding and the early years census
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective information sharing and data management

In addition, you will contribute to the wider early years agenda by supporting the dissemination of information and providing administrative support for relevant initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Knowledge of early years funding mechanisms and entitlements would be advantageous, but not essential. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are key attributes we are looking for.
