JOB OVERVIEW

Part time flexible post . Ideal for a student studying towards and early Years or teaching qualification . We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Daycare Assistant to join our nurturing environment in our Ofsted Outstanding setting in Leeds16 . The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of children, ensuring their well-being and development while fostering a love for learning.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • A background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children and colleagues.
  • A passion for childcare, along with the ability to drive engagement through fun and educational experiences.
  • DBS checks will be undertaken by the employer if you do not hold one .

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with children, encouraging positive interactions and helping them develop social skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organised environment, including the nursery area and play spaces.
  • Support children in their daily routines, including personal hygiene and meal times.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld Collaborate with lead educators to manage classroom behaviour and implement educational programmes.
  • Engage in activities that stimulate children’s creativity and curiosity through play-based learning.
