Description

We are looking for 2-3 new staff members to join our small and friendly team at Fixbees Nursery. Part of the Birkbees Group
Birkbees Group was established in 1995 and now has 4 settings across Huddersfield. We are a family run business with a strong, long established staff team. We value and appreciate all our staff, that’s why we have an excellent retention rate.
We offer continuous staff development and have an exciting staff training schedule throughout the year. As we are a small chain of nurseries, the prospects for promotion are great for ambitious individuals.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic new member who is willing to get messy, give anything a go and above all else, ready to become part of our amazing nursery team .
We are ideally looking for someone for a full time position 41.25 hours per week and a part time position 32.25 mainly working the afternoons.
Full time Shifts would be 8.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Part-Time shifts would be 1-6pm four days a week and one full shift at 8.25 hours
Alternatively we will consider 3 part time candidates to cover the same shifts. If you would like to be considered for less hours, then please let us know your preferred hours when you apply. Please note that we do not offer school hours.
Our ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the EYFS as well as an excellent understanding of child development. Previous experience in a similar role would also be an advantage.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about working with children to deliver a high quality service. We welcome applications from individuals who are reliable and enthusiastic and highly motivated and willing to be a part of many little ones lives and make a real difference.
Candidates will ideally have a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate as all our Nurseries are Millie’s Mark awarded, however we will provide this training if not. All candidates must have up to date safeguarding training.
Within the Birkbees Group we promote and enhance children’s learning and development holistically through play-based activities. We view all aspects of learning and development equally and ensure a flexible approach is maintained which responds quickly to children’s learning and developmental needs. We develop tailor-made activities based on observations which inform future planning and draw on children’s needs and interests. This is promoted through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated opportunities both indoors and outdoors. All teams are highly motivated to deliver our ethos.
Birkbees Nurseries are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. You will need to provide two references, one being from your current or last employer.
Appointment is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for regulated activity (if the candidate has lived in the UK) and/or criminal/police checks for all other countries inhabited (irrespective of whether they worked in those countries).
