Overview
Poppins Day Nursery is a small private day nursery in Handsacre. We are a family run, professional nursery whose goal is to provide a fun, safe environment where all children can thrive, develop and enjoy nursery life.
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Early Years Educator/Senior Practitioner who has a strong background in Early Childhood Education and a nurturing approach to support children’s development and be committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning and development
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to explore and grow
  • Develop individual learning plans based on children’s interests and needs
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress to ensure developmental milestones are met
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external professionals
  • Manage daily routines and provide personal care when necessary

Experience

Required Skills:

  • 2 years experience of working in childcare or nursery settings.
  • 2 years experience of working in a baby/toddler room.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire children
  • Drive to create a positive learning environment for young learners
  • Proficient in English language for effective communication
  • Appropriate qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
