NURSERY PRACTITIONER / EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER – ELSTEAD, SURREY

Salary: £12.50–£14.50 per hour / £27,000–£29,000 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)
Hours: Permanent, all-year-round, 36–40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days, between 7:30am – 6:00pm
Locations: Elstead (GU8), Surrey

We are seeking passionate Early Years Practitioners / Nursery Practitioners to join our friendly nurseries in Elstead, Surrey. Our nurseries care for children aged 3 months to 5 years and are surrounded by nature, offering daily opportunities for outdoor play, woodland walks, and exploration. We pride ourselves on a caring, personal approach where every child is supported to thrive and flourish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality childcare and learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Plan and implement engaging activities tailored to individual needs
  • Support key children with observations, learning journals, and development planning
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment at all times

About You

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (full and relevant)
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or similar role
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development
  • Passionate about early years education, outdoor play, and hands-on learning
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Driving licence preferred for Elstead (limited public transport available)
  • Clear DBS and two references required
