JOB DESCRIPTION: EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Early Years Worker within an award winning private children’s day nursery in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.
The position will require you to work up to 40 hours per week.
Applicants must be qualified to a SVQ3/HNC level in a relevant qualification and have sound knowledge of current documents and legalisation.
Successful candidates will be required to become a member of SSSC and PVG Scheme.

To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care and education for children who attend the nursery.
To give support to other personnel within the nursery.
To implement the daily routine in the playroom.
To be responsible for any tasks delegated to them by any member of the management team.
Formulate and operate a programme of experiences suitable to the age and stages of the children in their playroom, in conjunction with the Nursery Manager.
Prepare the children’s records in your key worker group, keep them updated regularly and share them with parents at regular intervals.
Work alongside the parents of all children to ensure full integration within the nursery.
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
Liaise with and support parents/main carers in any aspect of their child’s development or nursery experience.
Liaise with other professional agencies associated with the nursery.
Attend staff meetings and nursery events.

Pay: £15,704.00-£25,396.80 per year
