QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 1+ years of Room Leader experience (Preferred)
• 2+ years of Nursery experience (Preferred)
• Level 3 Early Years/Childcare Diploma (full and relevant)
• Knowledge of OFSTED standards
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong people management skills
• Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (preferred

• Act as a key person
• Carry out observations, assessments and planning for key children and support the staff team with their key children
• Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment, and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Support the transition of children into the nursery and then onto the next room
• Build positive relationships with children, their families, and colleagues
• Support the staff working in the room with their own personal development
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with relevant external agencies where appropriate
• Ensure that all children are kept safe, and that staff are confident to follow safeguarding procedures
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures and ensure they are also adhered to by all staff
• In conjunction with the management team identify, address and support in individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisals
