Cliffe House Training Academy has an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Apprenticeship Trainer/Assessor to join our team. If you’re experienced in delivering outstanding, level 5 apprenticeships, and committed to helping learners achieve their career goals, we’d love to hear from you!

ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has extensive experience in a senior Early Years role and is qualified up to Level 5 in Early Years (or equivalent)
  • Holds an Assessor Qualification (e.g., D32/D33, A1, or CAVA) and a Teaching Qualification (e.g., PTLLS, PGCE, AET)
  • Has experience in delivering apprenticeship standards, including Functional Skills
  • Has Maths and English GCSEs Grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

As an Early Years Apprenticeship Trainer/Assessor, you’ll manage a caseload of apprentices working towards their qualifications in:

  • Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner as well as;
  • L2 Early Years Practitioner
  • L3 Early Years Educator

Your role will involve face-to-face coaching sessions with apprentices at their place of work, helping them develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours. You’ll also support their personal and professional growth, guiding them to achieve their apprenticeship standards, while focusing on Maths, English, and wider skills development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality, outstanding coaching and assessments
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and support to learners, monitoring their progress
  • Supporting learners through their online learning platform
  • Offer feedback and constructive advice to learners, supporting their personal and professional growth
  • Maintain records of assessments, progress, and any areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement effective training plans to meet individual learner needs
  • Monitoring progress and providing ongoing support for career development
  • Ensuring learners meet their apprenticeship standards in a timely manner
  • Designing coaching session plans and skills builder tasks
  • Stay up-to-date with Early Years education policies, curriculum, and industry developments
