Company Description: Fortel is the largest Midlands based supplier of agency labour to the UK construction industry, providing contractors with pre-briefed, compliant teams formed of trusted and skilled workers for construction and key infrastructure projects. 
 Role Outline: The Site Foreman is responsible for co-ordinating and supervising the work, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and to programme. This involves briefing to the team, carrying out checks on plant and equipment and ensuring permits are in place.
Operate and promote safe working within gang. Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and that they have been briefed to gang and understood. Discuss any changes or amendments to method statements with site supervisor

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SMSTS Certification – Ability to manage and enforce health and safety regulations on site.
  • CSCS Gold Card – Demonstrates a high level of skill and competency in construction supervision.
  • EUSR Certification – Essential for those working in energy, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
  • First Aid Certification – Ability to provide immediate care in case of on-site emergencies.
  • Proven Experience – Minimum of 5+ years working in a supervisory or foreman role on construction projects.
  • Strong Leadership Skills – Ability to manage and motivate site teams effectively.
  • Technical Knowledge – Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
  • Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities – Quick decision-making skills to resolve site-related challenges.
