Position Summary The East Coast Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple facilities located on the East Coast, with a primary focus on ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with all local and state regulations. This position manages facility services, coordinates with vendors and contractors, and implements best practices to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. The Facilities Manager also supports the planning and execution of facility projects, ensures the upkeep of equipment, and fosters a collaborative environment among staff, aligning facility management with broader organizational goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Collaborate with management to establish operational and quality standards, develop budgetary and cost controls, and collect data on facility requirements, equipment specifications, and maintenance schedules. * Oversee and coordinate facility operations, setting priorities to ensure efficient service delivery and cost-effective maintenance of all locations. * Facilitate communication and cooperation between facilities, procurement, maintenance, and quality control teams to maximize operational efficiency and ensure the optimal use of personnel, machinery, and resources. * Review and assess facility needs, specifications, and operational challenges, developing strategies to address and resolve issues as they arise. * Develop and implement operational protocols and best practices to maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, while continuously improving facility processes. * Work closely with engineering and technical teams to evaluate and implement modifications to building systems and equipment that enhance efficiency, safety, and service quality. * Aggregate, manage, and analyze facility data using computer systems to inform decision-making and support ongoing operational improvements. * Ensure the proper maintenance and management of all facility equipment, infrastructure, properties, and vehicles, maintaining readiness to meet organizational and contractual obligations. * Maintain rigorous preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment and systems are fully operational and compliant with all applicable standards. * Accountable for upholding the physical security of all East Coast facilities, implementing and monitoring procedures to protect assets, personnel, and occupants. * Other duties as assigned, requested or needed. Education and Experience: * Associate’s degree or certification in industrial maintenance, or a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience. * A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or vehicular maintenance is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of facilities, machine tools, uses, repair and maintenance. * Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. * Ability to work at a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Ability and tolerance to meet due dates and deadlines and/or time constraints. * Knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft office applications. * Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.
