Description Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Burlingame Eating Disorder PHP/IOP team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with our psych nurse practitioners, dietitians, and therapists to support high-quality, client-centered care. This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, contributing to a safe and supportive treatment environment. Key Responsibilities Support clients through the intake process, including vitals, lab coordination, and EKGs as needed. Assist in ongoing client care, including taking vitals, recording weights, and communicating effectively with medical providers. Document all client interactions accurately in the EHR. Facilitate communication between medical staff, outside providers, clients, and families. Maintain supplies, equipment, and medical spaces to meet safety and regulatory standards. Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling and documentation follow-up. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless and compassionate care delivery Requirements Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred; unlicensed MA with relevant experience will be considered. Current CPR/BLS certification. Previous experience in mental health, eating disorders, or higher levels of care (PHP/IOP/Residential) strongly preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Compassionate and professional approach to working with clients and families.
