Job Description ECC Veterinary Nurse – Veterinary Referral Hospital, Dandenong VIC Are you an experienced general practice nurse looking to branch out into referral? Or maybe you’ve got emergency experience but are looking for something new! VRH is seeking enthusiastic nurses to join our growing team in the exciting world of Emergency and Critical Care! Casual, Part-time, and Full-time roles available - Successful applicants must be available for a variety of shifts across a 24-hour roster, including overnights. ECC nursing at VRH encompasses a variety of roles including ICU and hospital nursing, support roles as well as triage and patient stabilisation, so no two shifts are ever the same! You will be able to work in roles that are best suited to you and your capabilities. You may be able to jump straight in as an experienced ECC nurse or you may want some additional training and guidance as you learn the ropes. Our ECC leadership team will ensure you’re always comfortable with the work you do and that you feel continually supported. What We’re Looking For Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) 2+ years’ experience in the veterinary industry Previous emergency/referral experience ideal Amazing communication and organisation Initiative, teamwork skills, and a “we’ve got this!” vibe Adaptability when the unexpected rolls in Solid anaesthesia/set-up/monitoring skills Availability for nights and weekends You’ll work alongside a brilliant crew of ECC nurses, vets, and specialists who cheer each other on, share the wins, and tackle challenges together.
