We are currently hiring for a full-time position to join our team. The role involves working in both our Pre-School (ECCE) and Afterschool Programme based at Saggart Schoolhouse Community Centre.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a QQI Level 5 or 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent) and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our ECCE program Support the operation in the day-to-day running of the classroom

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in planning and implementing an appropriate curriculum in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks
• Provide high-quality care and education to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Document children’s progress, ensuring records are maintained in line with Tusla requirements
• Previous experience in a childcare setting, particularly within an ECCE environment, is desirable
• Strong understanding of child development and early years education
• Support with school collections (Walking School Bus)
• Assist with food preparation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A warm, caring, and patient approach to working with children
• Garda Vetting is required prior to commencement
