OVERVIEW

​Are you a passionate and dedicated ECA looking to make a difference in a child’s life? Join our team at We Play After School Club, a new after-school club in the Swansea area, near Windermere Ave & Bloor St W. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a strong background in Early Childhood Education and a deep understanding of How Does Learning Happen? and ELECT principles.
Experience working with children and a genuine desire to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment is essential.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Classroom experience is preferred, particularly in early childhood education settings.
  • Experience working with children with special needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their growth in an educational environment.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students effectively. If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children and possess the required skills, we encourage you to apply for this fulfilling role as an Assistant.
  • Must be available from the hours of 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Monday-Friday and 8:00 AM-6:00 PM on PA days as well as March Break.

Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children, ensuring they are engaged and participating in classroom activities.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social interaction and personal development among students.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop strategies that enhance learning experiences for children with disabilities.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting, ensuring all materials are readily available for use.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other professionals regarding student progress and needs.
