Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Playschool EA to join our team. As a Playschool EA, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and preparing them for their educational journey. If you have a love for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education, we encourage you to apply.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create a positive environment for inspiration, curiosity, interactive learning, & encouragement.
  • Model positive behavior at all times.
  • Help children problem solve
  • Observe and record the development of the children physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually providing constructive feedback to children and families as required/requested.
  • Oversee a safe & healthy environment for the children and families in the classroom, on the playground, and on field trips.
  • Work closely with the Playschool Teacher (in the daily preparation and delivery of the preschool program).
  • Support the Playschool Teacher with prep, and other small tasks. .
  • Assist the with executing the daily activities
  • Attend registration night & any meetings of the Parent Executive Board.
  • Abide by all policies and philosophies outlined in the LaPerle Community Playschool Parent Handbook, including the child guidance policy.
  • Execute additional administrative tasks as required.

  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED
  • Hold qualifications as specified in the Alberta Child Care Licensing Act and Regulation (ECE level 1)
  • Ability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Completion of Child Care First Aid or Standard First aid with CPR-C
  • Early Learning and Childcare Diploma and/or Education Degree (Child Development Supervisor)
