Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Playschool EA to join our team. As a Playschool EA, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of young children and preparing them for their educational journey. Roles & Responsibilities
- Create a positive environment for inspiration, curiosity, interactive learning, & encouragement.
- Model positive behavior at all times.
- Help children problem solve
- Observe and record the development of the children physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually providing constructive feedback to children and families as required/requested.
- Oversee a safe & healthy environment for the children and families in the classroom, on the playground, and on field trips.
- Work closely with the Playschool Teacher (in the daily preparation and delivery of the preschool program).
- Support the Playschool Teacher with prep, and other small tasks. .
- Assist the with executing the daily activities
- Attend registration night & any meetings of the Parent Executive Board.
- Abide by all policies and philosophies outlined in the LaPerle Community Playschool Parent Handbook, including the child guidance policy.
- Execute additional administrative tasks as required.

- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Required Qualifications
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED
- Hold qualifications as specified in the Alberta Child Care Licensing Act and Regulation (ECE level 1)
- Ability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Completion of Child Care First Aid or Standard First aid with CPR-C
- Early Learning and Childcare Diploma and/or Education Degree (Child Development Supervisor)
