Description
Help us turn curious questions into confident voices. We are on the lookout for a registered kaiako to join our team! Join us to nurture curiosity, build strong relationships, and create meaningful learning experiences that set our tamariki up for lifelong success. About us: House of Wonder Gisborne is part of Busy Bees Aotearoa, a nationwide whānau that backs its people to grow. Our spaces invite learning through the senses. The mauri of our centre holds time for inquiry, discovery, and rich language. Te Whāriki guides our work and whakapapa grounds our relationships. Children move between beautiful indoor provocations and te taiao outdoors, building belonging, social and emotional competence, and independence. Hauora is woven through the day. Our MOVE experiences grow confident bodies, while Nourish menus are prepared fresh by our centre cook with dietitian approval. Storypark keeps whānau close to the learning journey, and our transition to kura pathways build confidence, mana, and readiness. About you: You hold NZ teacher registration in ECE or Primary and bring a calm, steady presence. You notice children’s ideas, plan with intention, assess with care, and communicate clearly with whānau and colleagues. You value bicultural, inclusive practice, love learning through play, and enjoy shaping environments where tamariki feel safe, curious, and ready to try new things. The mahi: You will design thoughtful, sensory-rich experiences indoors and out, follow children’s interests into projects, and document learning stories that reflect each child’s voice. You will champion safety and wellbeing, support smooth routines, and work closely with whānau so progress is noticed, celebrated, and shared. You will help weave te reo and tikanga into everyday moments and contribute to a culture of reflective practice. Why you’ll love it here: Full Pay Parity! A monthly staff wellbeing budget and access to EAP services A comprehensive induction program with regular and ongoing mentoring Discounted childcare A warm, collaborative team First Aid certification and annual flu vaccination Ongoing opportunities for career growth & personal and professional development Take advantage of this opportunity and send through your CV and Cover Letter today! If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire. Join our whānau If you’re looking for a new centre to call home, Busy Bees Aotearoa may be the perfect fit for you! Early Childhood Education attracts a special type of person. You might be known for being creative, nurturing or task focused… but ultimately, you were attracted to Early Childhood Education because you care deeply for the education of the littlest members of our communities. We understand this because this is what attracted us too. We want to gather people who care deeply about quality and empower people to bring their unique gifts and talents together for the benefit of our tamariki. We value each member of our team, and know that by supporting you in your journey, you’ll be the positive and supportive influence in theirs.
