The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) works in partnership with the classroom teacher to support the learning, well-being, and development of primary students. The ECE contributes to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Support individual and small-group instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Foster a caring and inclusive environment that promotes student well-being and positive relationships.
• Assist with classroom management, daily routines, and transitions.
• Observe, monitor, and document student progress to share with the teaching team.
• Encourage play-based learning, inquiry, and hands-on exploration.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
