Little Stars Child Care is seeking an energetic, kind and caring individual who values the children and families they will interact with. Being a good team player, taking direction, engaging with the children and good attendance are essential.
Expectations:
· Teachers will plan for ways to support children when they transition from home to school.
· Teachers will learn from the children and show a willingness to try new activities and develop new programming based on the children’s interests and ideas.
· Teachers will incorporate provocation and invitation into learning by having a provocation table and we will document this through pictures, antidotes and social stories.
· Teachers will discuss and implement outdoor sensory play which can include movement, music and messy play.
· Teachers will discuss and implement STEM activities into the classroom environment that are age appropriate and thoughtful and based on the children’s interests.
· Teachers will look for the most suitable means of communicating with children based on each child’s unique abilities.
· Teachers will incorporate language and literacy into all daily experiences through teaching, documentation, expressing and extending on the child’s learning process.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
• Negative TB Skin Test/Up to date vaccination
• Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
• Safe Food Handler Certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
