Title: Instructor – Early Childhood Educator Assistant Program
This is a fixed-term contract position for the ECEA program to teach our morning and weekend classes at the Surrey Campus.
Primary duties are course instruction in an online class format.

Responsibilities

  • Teach within the ECEA courses as scheduled.
  • Assess all assignments and promptly post grades for exams and assignments on the College database, keeping all grades confidential.
  • Collaborate with other faculty and administration as needed.
  • Review and revise common syllabi for courses taught each semester based on feedback from other instructors, students and the Program Coordinator.
  • Assist with course revisions, including rubrics for major assignments, final assessments, selection of textbooks and other resource materials as requested.
  • Assist in writing and revision of program-related handbooks as needed.
  • Advise potential ECEA students on enrollment requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator, the Dean of Programs, or as designated by the President.

Education/ Experience Required

Successful candidates will have the following as a minimum:

  • Minimally a diploma in Early Childhood Education or in Education Assistant and two (2) years of full-time work experience within an Early Childhood setting.

OR

  • Ten (10) years of full-time work experience within the Early Childhood Field.

Available to teach in Surrey, BC

  • Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
