OB DESCRIPTION

Job Overview:
We are seeking an Part Time ECEA (Early Childhood Educator Assistant) to join our team.
Duties:
- Implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for children
- Providing a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Assisting with mealtime routines and ensuring proper nutrition for children
- Monitoring and supervising children during playtime and outdoor activities
- Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive learning environment
- Maintaining accurate records of children’s progress and behavior
Skills:
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Educate: Ability to effectively teach and engage children in age-appropriate activities
- Caregiving: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and support to young children
- Classroom management: Strong skills in managing a classroom environment and promoting positive behavior
- Experience with children: Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting
Certificate: Must have your Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate, as well as your Childcare First aid/ CPR.
*This position may lead to more full time in the future, currently only offering Part Time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

• Courtenay, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Early Childhood Education Assistance Certificate (required)
