JOB SUMMARY:
As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) at our brand new licensed facility in West Vancouver, you will be at the forefront of creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and ethos of our centre, ensuring that every child receives the highest quality care and education. Under the guidance of the supervisor or director, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative programs and practices that meet the unique needs of our community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Early Childhood Education Assistant Diploma (ECEA) or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Valid certification or registration as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) in accordance with BC licensing requirements.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or early learning setting.
- Knowledge of child development theory and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the diverse needs and backgrounds of children and families.
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Clear criminal record check
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support children’s developmental needs and interests.
- Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected.
- Observe and assess children’s development and progress, and maintain accurate records of their growth and achievements.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and communicate openly and effectively with all stakeholders.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care, following all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment and support the overall operation of the childcare facility.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment, including indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Adhere to all licensing requirements, regulations, and ethical standards governing early childhood education.
