About the role POSITION SUMMARY The Echocardiogram Technologist (PRN) uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) and other noninvasive echocardiography testing equipment to produce diagnostic images. These procedures require specialized knowledge and skills to support geriatric patient care. This role ensures patient safety and confidentiality, follows established clinical protocols, and upholds Sage Health policies and procedures. What you'll do PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform echocardiograms, positioning patients and equipment appropriately Manage patient expectations and provide exam explanations Maintain and calibrate equipment for diagnostic accuracy Record and interpret measurements, comparing results to clinical norms Ensure safety, confidentiality, and documentation accuracy Travel to centers within the market as needed (car allowance provided) Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3 years of experience. Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound sonographers. ARDMS registered in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or CCI Echocardiography (RCS) Experience working with an electronic health record. 3-5 years' experience working in a hospital or other medical facility. Must be willing to travel to centers within the market. Certification Basic Life Support Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Must be organized and attentive to detail. Ability to manage competing priorities. Resourcefulness in problem solving Able to take and follow through with assigned tasks and accountability. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree or higher Experienced working in medically underserved/culturally diverse communities Bilingual Spanish and English Physical Requirements Primary Duty Percent of Time Performing Duty Visual Acuity YES 75-100% Hearing YES 75-100% Standing YES 75-100% Walking YES 75-100% Lifting/Pulling/Pushing YES 75-100% Sitting NO 0-24% Reports To: Market Clinical Manager
