DESCRIPTION

The ECO Solo Operators operate the folder/gluer machinery and is responsible for the folding gluing process to include Safety, Quality, Housekeeping and Performance produced by folder/gluer machine, including, but not limited to, paperboard packaging.
C Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am, Rotational Days

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be capable of reading work instructions.
  • Must be capable of reading and adhering to safety rules.
  • Must be capable of reading a ruler and other measurement tools.
  • Must be able to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be capable of maintaining good attendance.
  • Must be willing to cover another shift in the event of a call off.

    Skills/Competencies

  • Must have a high school diploma or its equivalency.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of machine operation experience required.
  • Previous experience as a Folder/Gluer Operator preferred.
  • Must be able to understand and read English with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations.
  • Must possess good organization and time management skills and practices.
  • Must be capable of using a computer to perform data entry and printing functions – Required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel – Preferred.
  • Must be able to use hand-held devices.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the folder/gluer machine.
  • Responsible for the output, quantity and quality of the product being produced.
  • Conduct and manage efficient set ups.
  • Read and understand work orders, including special instructions.
  • Enter a Safety, Maintenance, Quality, and/or Planning request as needed.
  • Performs needed scanning and correct product labeling based on the production order.
  • Take the lead in solving problems and work with support staff in providing solutions.
  • Communicate deviations from the job specifications to a supervisor/manager.
  • Responsible for machinery cleaning, operator preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Make suggestions to improve efficiencies and ensures the folder/gluer runs at optimum speeds.
  • Monitor quality of finished goods.
  • Complete proper shift turnover process that includes communicating with operators from previous and following shifts to review any problems experienced on the machine during one’s shift.
  • Performs proper housekeeping at the end of shift or during down times.
  • Position may require the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed or required based on the needs of the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 20lbs from floor to waist and overhead on occasion
