Job Title: Ecologist
Salary: 25,000 – 30,000 depending on experience
Based: Sheffield/ Rotherham, South Yorkshire
About Estrada Ecology: Estrada Ecology was formed in 2007 and currently employs a small close-knit team of ecologists, working predominantly within the north of England. We work closely with a vast array of clients, ranging from independent developers to large scale companies and local authorities, conducting all types of ecological projects as required. We are looking for ambitious and self-motivated candidates to join our team in an exciting period of growth

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/SKILLS:

· Minimum 2 years of consultancy experience
· At least one protected species class licence- preferably bats
· Competency and ability to carry out Phase 2 surveys
· Competent identification skills of UK flora and fauna
· Knowledge and practical experience of Biodiversity Net Gain
· Full Driving licence
· Full right to work in the UK
· CIEEM Membership
· Familiarity with planning guidance, regulations and operations of Biodiversity Net Gain.
· Report writing skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

· CSCS Card or equivalent preferable
· EPSM Licence applications
· Self-motivated, keen to progress career and ability to self-motivate

· Aiding and conducting ecological surveys, habitat condition assessments and report writing
· Consultation with clients and shareholders
· Mitigation projects and field work
