OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Ecologist to join our client’s team in their Multi-disciplinary Environmental Consultancy. To excel in this role, you’ll need a strong background in environmental science and a passion for studying ecosystems and biodiversity, this role involves conducting scientific research, analysing data, and contributing to projects that promote environmental sustainability.

FURTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Specialist in PEA/UK Habitat Survey, included complex sites & rarer habitats
• Ability to undertake a full range of protected species survey competently and efficiently
• Ability to undertake specialist surveys
• Hold protected species licences (Basic GCN & Dormouse, specialist i.e. Bat)
• Demonstrable knowledge of EU/UK legislation and planning policy
• Report writing skills, can complete a range of reports to a high standard, efficiently.
• Developing specialism in certain aspect of reports (i.e. EIA)
• Proposal costings
• Assisting with winning work/sourcing new clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc in Ecology (or similar)
• MSc Environment (or equivalent)
• Associate CIEEM

• Leading team members
• Planning & Resourcing surveys
• Undertaking full range of surveys, including specialist aspects
• Produce full range of reports,
• Support business development
