The approximately 200 ecologists based in the various UK offices of SLR work together and with colleagues in other disciplines as part of “One Team” of talented consultants. In doing so, its core objective is to assist clients and colleagues alike in “Making Sustainability Happen”.

Responsibilities
  • Initially assist with and then independently undertake extended habitat surveys as your skills improve;
  • Assist experienced ecologists with protected species (e.g. great crested newt, bat, badger and reptile) surveys giving you experience towards gaining protected species survey licences;
  • Assist and then independently write a variety of ecological reports including for Biodiversity Net Gain;
  • Be exposed to the full breadth of ecological consultancy in a short space of time;
  • Gain insights into the planning system and infrastructure development in the UK
