The Ecommerce Merchandise Specialist is responsible for: The effective display, ranking and prioritisation of products and information to drive the optimal customer purchase journey. Build and maintain (low code) web landing pages Key Result Areas and Responsibilities A. Online Merchandising Creation of new categories as required and based off requirements pertaining to data analytics and strategy. Working in partnership with marketing to plan and execute on their season launches, product launches and promotional activity Responsible for updating/ changing and monitoring the navigation for each brand website to ensure correct placement of categories and customer journeys. Managing landing pages through Page Builder to enable promotional and strategic activity for marketing & merch. Supporting the content team with product uploads and managing the sites where required. Updating and changes banners, supported by the web development team. Manage Fred Hopper functions. B . SEO Creation of new categories in line with SEO insights, with inclusion of category name, content and meta- descriptions. Ensuring all existing categories are up to date with correct SEO content. Ensuring all web display names are correct and applied correctly by the content team. Building new categories, pages, landing pages as required by SEO strategy. Liaising with and managing the copywriter for all SEO written content. Working in partnership with marketing to produce SEO content for sites. Working with SEO consultant on any additional work required. C. Reporting & Administration Compiling the weekly merchandising reports with data from BI, GA and Hot Jar and Fred Hopper. Compiling the monthly merchandising & SEO reporting for marketing. Continual monitoring of site and SEO data to keep on top of any potential issues/ changes. Additional ad hoc duties as required. Key Skills Qualifications & Experience Prerequisite Skills: Outstanding Excel knowledge Highly organised Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail Understanding and experience with web optimisation & product data Practical knowledge of basic HTML Confident in using various tools and systems to analyse data & ability to understand what it means Aptitude for understanding technical systems and system integration. Ability to adopt a commercial mindset Preferred Experience: 1+ years’ experience within digital & content. eCommerce experience, including familiarity with various eCommerce platforms and PIMS. Understanding of the principals of SEO and CRO. Education/Qualifications/Memberships: Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications or Marketing preferred
