E-Commerce Site Merchandiser Employment Status: Full-Time, Benefits Eligible Location: On-Site at NEW Gymreapers in Nampa, ID (20 mins outside of Boise, ID) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM (flex according to business needs) Reports To: Director of Ecommerce Job Summary: Gymreapers is seeking a strategic, data-obsessed E-Commerce Merchandiser to transform our DTC shopping experience into a conversion powerhouse. You'll own the on-site merchandising strategy and execution from homepage to checkout; driving revenue growth through intelligent product placement, personalized customer journeys, and relentless optimization. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, customer psychology, and creative execution. You'll be the voice of the customer in merchandising decisions, translating browsing behavior and performance metrics into strategies that increase AOV, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value. As we expand from lifting accessories into performance apparel, you'll leverage apparel merchandising best practices to build a seamless multi-category shopping experience that drives cross-category discovery and basket building.The ideal candidate moves fast but thinks strategically, balances creative intuition with hard data, and obsesses over the details that drive disproportionate results. Our Core Values: Grow or Die Customer Obsession Extreme Ownership Nothing is Given // Everything is Earned Be Humble 1% Better Everyday Live with Integrity Sacrifice Key Responsibilities: Strategic Site Merchandising Architect and optimize the complete customer journey across homepage, collection pages (PLPs), product pages (PDPs), and conversion touchpoints to maximize revenue and conversion rates Execute seasonal campaigns, promotional events, and new product launches with precision Develop and maintain a site merchandising calendar aligned with product launches, seasonal trends, and promotional campaigns Build and optimize product assortments, cross-sell/upsell modules, and site navigation structures Create apparel-specific merchandising strategies including outfit building, size guide optimization, fit content integration, and lifestyle imagery placement Design collection taxonomies that seamlessly span hard goods (belts, wraps, sleeves) and soft goods (apparel) while maintaining intuitive navigation Develop merchandising templates for apparel launches that showcase fit, fabric, and styling while reinforcing brand identity Ensure accuracy of product content, pricing, categorization, and tagging across all site touchpoints Create merchandising playbooks and SOPs to scale best practices and drive team efficiency Design personalized shopping experiences based on customer segments, behavior patterns, and lifecycle stage Own site search strategy and optimization to minimize zero-result searches and improve product discovery Cross-Sell and Upsell Strategy Build intelligent product bundles emphasizing accessory + apparel combinations (e.g., belt + lifting shorts, complete training kits) Create "complete your look" modules and curated training kit bundles spanning multiple categories Own post-purchase merchandising strategy using platforms like ReConvert, Redo, Rebuy to maximize customer lifetime value Design high-converting one-click upsell offers on confirmation pages that complement initial purchases Develop personalized post-purchase recommendations based on order composition and customer segment data Partner with Retention team to align merchandising strategies across on-site experiences, email flows, and post-purchase touchpoints Identify and promote high-converting, high-LTV products throughout the customer journey Performance & Optimization Analyze key merchandising metrics including traffic, CTR, add-to-cart rates, conversion rates, exit rates, post-purchase take rates, and AOV Establish KPI benchmarks and build performance dashboards to drive data-informed decisions and identify optimization opportunities Conduct weekly performance reviews of top-performing and underperforming SKUs and collections Partner with Ecommerce team to develop a merchandising-focused testing roadmap covering product placement, collection organization, filtering/sorting, imagery, copy, and CTAs Utilize heat mapping and session recordings to identify and eliminate friction points in the shopping experience Analyze cross-category behavior to uncover gear-to-apparel and apparel-to-gear conversion opportunities Product Launches & Campaign Management Build comprehensive merchandising plans for new product releases and major promotional campaigns Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Creative, Email/SMS, and Paid Media teams to ensure cohesive launch execution Ensure product readiness across all systems prior to launch, including inventory verification, PDP accuracy, tagging, photography, and sizing charts Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Ecommerce, Marketing, Creative, and Operations teams to support overarching business goals Provide actionable insights and feedback to Product and Inventory teams based on performance trends and customer behavior Collaborate with Customer Experience team to identify pain points and continuously improve the shopping journey Benefits/Perks: Competitive Pay Company paid holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Gymreapers on-site gym!
