Responsibilities

ROLE

As an Ecommerce Strategist, you will lead a squad of paid media specialists, owning both client strategy and delivery outcomes. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your portfolio, act as the strategic brain behind their performance marketing, and ensure campaigns are executed effectively through your team.
Each Strategist typically manages 7–10 client accounts, tiered by size and complexity, with a combined monthly media spend of around $500,000. You will work across Meta, Google, and TikTok platforms, ensuring full-funnel media plans are well-structured, insight-driven, and closely aligned to each client’s revenue goals. This role manages a portfolio comprising two high-profile clients operating in the fashion accessories and fragrance sectors, amongst others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Media Leadership

  • Architect performance marketing strategies tailored to each client’s business model and growth goals.
  • Oversee campaign structure, audience segmentation, budget allocation, and optimisation across Meta, Google, and TikTok.
  • Translate data insights into actionable strategy and creative recommendations.Regularly audit campaign performance and structures, ensuring scalable foundations are in place.

Client Relationship Management

  • Lead all strategic conversations, planning meetings and performance reviews with clients.
  • Act as a proactive, trusted advisor, presenting plans with commercial clarity and confidence.
  • Ensure clients are supported, educated and calm, particularly during performance fluctuations.
  • Help onboard new clients, delivering an impactful setup and roadmap.

Team Leadership

  • Guide a team of local and offshore Performance Specialists, ensuring consistent execution and ongoing capability uplift.
  • Mentor junior team members without micromanaging; encourage ownership and independent thinking.
  • Run training sessions and strategic brainstorms; raise the standard of thinking across the squad.

Commercial & Delivery Oversight

  • Identify underutilised spend and campaign inefficiencies; reallocate budget to improve ROAS and MER.Monitor KPIs including CAC, conversion rates, and profitability across channels.
  • Collaborate with the broader agency team (SEO, Creative, Admin) to deliver full-funnel performance outcomes.Submit case studies and contribute to Ecom Nation’s broader reputation as an ecommerce thought leader.
