JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Economic & Damages Expert Witness to join our growing team of litigation support professionals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in economic analysis, financial modeling, business valuation, and the calculation of damages across a variety of case types. This is a great opportunity for someone with sharp analytical skills and courtroom presence who thrives on providing objective, defensible opinions in high-stakes legal matters.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s, MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred).
  • Extensive experience in economic damage analysis, forensic accounting, or litigation consulting.
  • Prior experience serving as an expert witness in depositions and/or trials.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and damage quantification methodologies (lost profits, diminished value, business interruption, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to attorneys, judges, and juries.
  • Designation or experience in business valuation (ASA, ABV, CVA) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial records, business performance, and economic data to assess economic damages in commercial, personal injury, employment, and other civil litigation cases.
  • Prepare expert reports, rebuttal reports, and financial models to support damage calculations.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and defensible testimony during depositions, arbitration, and trial proceedings.
  • Work closely with attorneys to develop case strategy, review discovery materials, and identify strengths and weaknesses in opposing expert opinions.
  • Provide business valuation services and economic loss assessments where applicable.
  • Stay current on relevant case law, valuation methodologies, and economic standards used in litigation.
