Description

ABOUT US

Our 2.4 million members trust us to take care of over $330 billion in retirement savings. And we help them take charge of their finances and face the future with confidence. Our inclusive culture means you’ll be valued and heard in a respectful workplace. We’ve created an environment where you can be yourself and do amazing work. It’s that simple.

Responsibilities

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As an Economist and Investment Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Investment team. You’ll conduct macro-economic research to inform asset allocation and portfolio management decisions. Plus, you’ll create investment communications for members, financial advisers, and corporate clients. Working with the Chief Economist, you’ll present economic and investment topics to diverse audiences, reinforcing ART’s reputation as an investment thought leader

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Conduct macro-economic research to support investment decisions and develop long-term assumptions for asset allocation models.
  • Present economic and investment topics to various audiences, including member seminars and industry conferences.
  • Prepare commentary and communications for internal and external audiences, delivering ART’s investment message.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to influence outcomes aligned with members’ best financial interests.
  • Contribute to ART’s external brand and reputation by maintaining networks and providing thought leadership.
  • Ensure all governance and compliance obligations are met on time and to quality standards.
  • Prepare content for external communications, including press releases and reports, to communicate ART’s investment strategies and market insights.
  • Support collaboration across the Investment business units and assist with embedding the ART risk management framework.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and deliver designated action items.

This role is a permanent opportunity.
Ideally, we’d like this role to be based in Sydney, but we’re happy to consider candidates in Brisbane and Melbourne too.
