Learning Blocks Child Care Centre is currently seeking an outstanding Early Childhood Teacher Educator for a fulltime position as a Room Leader/Educational Leader.
Location : 81 Sherridon Crescent, Quakers Hill

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • Provide quality education and care for children in the age group 0-6 years that supports and promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Review and deliver educational programs and activities with other educators
  • Plan and implement programs for children and parents for child development
  • Continuously monitor child’s health and well-being, maintain records of their progression and recommend improvements to their parents
  • Conduct social, learning and physical activities (indoor and outdoor) in class to develop social, communication and motor skills
  • Guide and assist children in development of eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Observe each child for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems, record and report to parent, supervisor.
  • Ensure that each child remains engaged in various class activities and record their progress
  • Ensure policies of the centre are implemented in an appropriate manner
  • Assess assignment, abilities, interest and needs of children and provide progression report to their parents
  • Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement
  • Attend parents and staff meetings

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU:

  • Must either hold Early Childhood Education Degree (B Teaching/B ECE or equivalent) and or working towards ECT.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
