Job Description • Responsible to derive and manage automotive electrical contro unit (ECUs) related requirements starting from acquisition phase and throughout development phase by assessing external and internal requirements. • Responsible for implementing Design for Reliability (DfR) systematicly into product development and industrialization. • Responsible for the validation strategy and plan to fulfil the product requirements. • Responsible for quality, time and cost effective ECUs in alignment with the OEM and Bosch requirements. • Responsible for reliability related competence build up in functions. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Contribute to requirement mgmt. process. • Support negotiations with the customers and partners regarding reliability related topics. • Determine loads acting on the product. • Assess mounting application environment. • Evaluate vehicle measurements • Develop lifetime evaluations based on available aging laws with respect to relevant mechanical failure modes. Evaluate stress and strength by means of performing reliability assessment on concepts & design elements. • Drive product engineering by means of contribution to FMEA, FAM, DRBFM and problem solving activities within the projects. • Create and maintain design and production validation plans in collaboration with OEM and internal development partners. • Collaborate during testing and analysis with internal and external partners to ensure expected outcome of validation activities. • Evaluate and interpret test results and create reliability reports both for internal purposes and for customers. • Report reliability status (incl. test progress & reports) to project team, to OEM and to management if necessary. • Project documentation according to current Bosch quality directives. • Review test plans, validation reports, application assessments, TCD conten Additional Information Education: Bachelor in material engineering, mechanical engineering, physics engineering or similar Working Experience:5 years’ in electrical unit, or PCB manufacturing, or mechanical engineering related, Automotive experience preferred, Product development experience preferred Knowledge/Skills: Master of automotive ECU related damage / failure mechanisms and the derivation of reliability requirements.
