Nokia DAC consists of centralized and edge clouds that we develop and operate. Our central cloud manages large fleet of edge clouds on customer premises which extend fixed campus networks with 4G or 5G radio technology and by running applications on the same edge. We utilize the latest container and cloud-native technologies, offering a great opportunity for learning. This role focuses on Edge Platform software engineering.
Nokia MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) is the next evolution of our Edge Platform, and you will contribute by developing Kubernetes Operators and tooling primarily in Golang. You will work with networking and the lower layers of Linux to optimize performance, reliability, and automation in distributed edge environments.
A hands-on attitude, quick learning, and trying new ideas are highly appreciated. Exact qualifications may vary depending on the focus, and we want to find a good match with your interests. Our architecture team is working with a wide range of topics, from research to operational topics, and you can learn from the best experts.
You should have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications, cloud, engineering, or other relevant fields. Golang, Kubernetes, and infra development are your main skills and interests.
