Job Summary:
The EDI/SQL/Data Conversion Specialist supports existing and new trading partners by maintaining electronic links and software. The position will also be responsible for handling inquiries and mapping data for our trading partners and internal customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Uses independent judgement to execute test scripts to ensure that transmission data flows correctly through our business systems to ensure compliance.
• The ability to work with excel spreadsheets, comma separated value (CSV) files, and delimited or fixed length text files.
• Experience working with ETL tools (SSIS/Talend/Databricks) and concepts.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in SQL queries and Stored Procedures in a database environment in order to effectively answer inquiries for our trading partners and internal customers.
• Develop and support transmissions and conversions with a wide range of import and export tools.
• Create and maintain reports to ensure all data gets loaded successfully in a timely matter.
• Create and maintain stored procedures.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to scope, develop, test and implement data.
• Determine and implement improvements by providing innovative ideas and enhancements to increase customer service, ensure accuracy, and elevate productivity.
• Foster a teamwork environment to create a synergistic and efficient team while also able to work independently.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
• Demonstrate flexibility with projects and inquiries with the ability to manage multiple projects and to establish priorities with minimal supervision.
• Establish and maintain strong communication with team members and other ComPsych departments.
• Work with EDI analyst to help ensure that ComPsych conforms to X12 standards for Health Insurance industry transactions (834, 835, 837. 277).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: BA/BS in Business or Information Technology required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience required.
• The ability to execute ad-hoc SQL queries required (Oracle/SQL Server).
• Competent in scripting languages (VBScript, T-SQL,etc) with the ability to adapt to other dialects as needed.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts.
• Understanding of SSIS, SSRS, and Visual Studio.
• Proven experience with ETL tools.
• Cloud experience preferred.
• Understanding of MSSQL stored procedures, functions, and CLR objects preferred.
• Understand database architecture preferred.
• Jira Service Desk knowledge preferred.
• Proven interface architecture design skills with a relentless attention to detail a plus.
• Strong understanding of health insurance plan design, such as employee deductibles, co-pays, coverage levels, etc. preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal/written communications skills are required.
• High energy and maintains adherence to ethical standards.
• Target salary $85-$100K.

• Ability to be present on camera during work-related trainings, meetings, and/or events
• Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer
