Description

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Edifecs Developer to design, develop, and support healthcare EDI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Edifecs tools and a solid understanding of healthcare EDI transactions and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain EDI mappings using Edifecs SpecBuilder and MapBuilder * Work on healthcare EDI transactions such as 837 (P/I/D), 835, 270/271, 276/277, 277CA, 834, 820, PACDR * Develop and manage Guidelines, Profiles, and Protocols * Configure and support Edifecs EAM / XEngine for batch and real-time processing * Perform EDI validation, error handling, and troubleshooting * Work closely with business analysts and healthcare SMEs to understand requirements * Support production issues, root cause analysis, and defect fixes * Ensure compliance with HIPAA, X12 5010, and other regulatory standards * Participate in testing, deployment, and post-production support activities * Document technical designs and operational procedures Required Skills & Qualifications * 4+ years of hands-on experience with Edifecs tools * Strong knowledge of healthcare EDI standards (X12, HIPAA) * Experience with SpecBuilder, MapBuilder, XEngine * Hands-on experience in EDI validations, acknowledgments (999, 277CA) * Experience with batch processing and real-time EDI flows * Good understanding of healthcare domain concepts (claims, eligibility, payments) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills Good to Have * Experience with Edifecs EAM, Encounter Management * Exposure to cloud deployments (AWS/Azure) * Knowledge of SQL and database tracking * Experience with production support and on-call rotations * Understanding of payer/provider workflows Education * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Through our dedicated associates, Conduent delivers mission-critical services and solutions on behalf of Fortune 100 companies and over 500 governments - creating exceptional outcomes for our clients and the millions of people who count on them.
