Description
This is a hybrid role and the selectee will be required to be onsite at USMS HQ, Arlington, VA 2 days/week. Viderity, Inc. is a HUBZone-certified, Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) federal IT firm supporting the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) FORCE2 program through our prime contractor NTT DATA Federal. We are sourcing an eDiscovery Specialist Lead to join the Lifecycle Operations Line of Business, providing electronic discovery support for one of the nation's oldest federal law enforcement agencies. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented business analyst or legal technology professional who is comfortable working within Microsoft Purview and SharePoint Online, following established workflows, and managing defensible eDiscovery processes. The position does not require prior federal contracting experience, though familiarity with federal legal hold and records management practices is a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities: Lead electronic discovery processes including legal hold, preservation, collection, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) Administer and configure Microsoft Purview eDiscovery tools and SharePoint Online legal hold policies Maintain chain of custody tracking and documentation to ensure defensibility throughout the eDiscovery lifecycle Collaborate with USMS legal, IT, and operational stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements and minimize workflow disruptions Develop and enhance eDiscovery workflows, standard operating procedures, and related documentation Monitor and report on preservation and collection status; escalate issues as appropriate Support security and scalability of eDiscovery infrastructure within the USMS environment Respond to ad hoc legal and compliance requests in a timely, organized manner Required Skills: Hands-on experience with online data preservation and eDiscovery research processes Working knowledge of legal hold implementation policies and procedures Demonstrated experience with chain of custody tracking and documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Purview (eDiscovery module) and/or SharePoint Online Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and responsiveness to feedback Ability to work independently within established workflows and escalate appropriately Solid written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder coordination Preferred Skills: Experience supporting federal agency legal, compliance, or records management functions Familiarity with Relativity or similar eDiscovery review platforms Experience working in a ServiceNow-based IT service management environment Background in business analysis or litigation support Prior USMS or DOJ program experience Suitability and Background Requirements This position requires passing a USMS Public Trust suitability investigation. No active security clearance is required. The suitability process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks.
